  2.   CallBack Verification
  3.   ────────────────────────
  4.      Callback Verification allows System Operators to be sure that
  5.    they're system is free of "Fake" accounts.  Once a certain phone
  6.    number has been verified, it is stored in a file.  If someone
  7.    else tries to use that number, the verification process will
  8.    abort without any access levels changed.  This feature is made
  9.    to prevent a user from making several accounts.  Sometimes,
  10.    however (in case of families, for example), several users may
  11.    share the same phone number.  If this is the case, please leave
  12.    a (C)omment to the Sysop after you return to the board, stating
  13.    that you need your number "cleared from the callback file".
  14.    As soon as the Sysop reads your mail, your number will be removed
  15.    from the data file, enabeling you to be verified with the same
  16.    phone number.

  18.      To start the callback verification process, enter your number
  19.    below in 3 "segments";  That is, if you're phone number is
  20.    (123) 456-7890, you should enter "123" when asked for your area code,
  21.    "456" when asked for your prefix, and "7890" when asked for your
  22.    suffix.
